Upcoming Road Work on Little Wekiva Road

Here is an update from the City on upcoming roadway repairs on Little Wekiva Road.

The City’s contractor is scheduled to begin work this week on the roadway repairs between Green Briar Blvd and Spring Oaks Blvd.

The Contractor will reconstruct one side of the roadway at a time, maintaining two-way traffic on the opposite side under flagging operations throughout the work. Their plan is to remove and rebuild each section within the same day so the roadway can be reopened to traffic at the end of each day.

This work should be completed by September 1st, weather permitting.

These repairs are related to Hurricane Milton. The City experienced delays because of the FEMA process, but ultimately decided not to postpone the work any longer. They are moving forward with the repairs now and hope to secure reimbursement from FEMA once the construction is finished.
