Updates from your HOA
10/4/2026 Updates:
All,
We are going to start providing monthly updates to keep you informed on what we are doing for you. We are looking forward to meeting all of you at our National Night Out event on Tuesday at 641 Oakview St from 6pm to 8pm.
Board Updates:
Our previous HOA President resigned earlier this year. John Battle was voted in as the new HOA President. Yvette Gomez was voted in as the new HOA Vice President.
Christmas Updates:
It may seem early but it is time to start preparing and planning our Community Christmas Events. We are looking for volunteers to help us plan the Christmas Parade, Holiday Decoration Contest, and Christmas Party.
Christmas Parade:
Our Christmas Parade insurance policy is almost completed. This is insurance required by the City for a Special Event Permit. Cost is $404 same price as the previous 3 years.
We are looking for help planning the Christmas Parade this year. For the previous two to three years all the planning has been handled by two to three people. A big thing this year will be to increase participation from the Community, Churches, Businesses, Non-Profits, etc.
Confirmed Attendees:
Seminole County Fire Department
Altamonte Springs Police Department
Christmas Party
Planning has not started yet. Help is needed.
Holiday Decoration Contest Judging:
Judging will be similar to last year. All paid HOA members can submit their house with pictures to a Google Form. An email link will be sent out to all paid HOA members for voting. The submission deadline is Wednesday December 16th. Judging will be completed Saturday December 19th at 6pm. The top five voted homes will win awards. The winning homes will be presented with their award and sign on Sunday December 20th.
National Night Out:
Updates are available on our website and Facebook.
Neighborhood Improvement Grant Update:
We have submitted for a Neighborhood Improvement Grant from the City. This years grant will be to update all 5 entrance signs removing the old rocks, bricks, and weeds. The signs will be surrounded by 6-9 inch river rocks and filled in with smaller river rocks. Rocks are being purchased from Pebble Junction in Sanford. The City contributes $1,500, the HOA contributes $750 in cash, the HOA completes In-Kind Contributions of 75 voulenteer hours @ 10 per hour totalling $750. Total grant funds are $3,000. We provide status reports including itemized expenditures, volunteer hours, and other in-kind contributions.
We applied for a similar grant two years ago which we used to rebuild and repair missing mortar for all entrance signs. The natural bricks were painted with a white paint material that protects the bricks and mortar by keeping moisture out.
